Welcome to Gynecologic Cancer Care, the practice of Wafic ElMasri, MD, gynecologic oncology specialist in Indianapolis, Indiana.
What is a gynecologic oncologist?
Gynecologic oncologists are board certified as obstetrician-gynecologists with an additional three to four years of training in a gynecologic oncology fellowship program overseen by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Studies on outcomes from gynecologic cancers demonstrate that women treated first by a gynecologic oncologist have improved outcomes and a better likelihood of prolonged survival.
Our specialties
Dr. ElMasri specializes in the treatment and management of gynecological malignancies and complex pelvic surgeries, including the following types of gynecologic cancers that affect women:
- Cervical cancer
- Ovarian cancer
- Uterine cancer, including endometrial cancer
- Vaginal cancer
- Vulvar cancer
